Email configuration settings for Microsoft Outlook using
Exchange

Use auto account setup when on campus. Use manual account setup when off
campus

Start Outlook.

The Auto Account Setup window will display. Your name and email address
may be automatically filled in on this screen. If they are not, enter your
full name in the Your Name field, your Princeton email address in
the format of NetID@exchange.Princeton.EDU in the email Address field.
Click Next.
- If prompted to enter your Princeton NetID and password, enter it as princeton\NetID

Click OK to restart Outlook and click the Finish button to complete the account
configuration.
Manual account setup for Exchange email

Establish a VPN connection when off campus.

Start Outlook and click Manual setup or additional server types. Click
Next.

Select Microsoft Exchange Server... Click Next.

In the Server Settings window, enter the following:
Server: owa.princeton.edu
User Name: NetID

Click More Settings > Connection tab. Click Connect to Microsoft Exchange
using HTTP. Click Exchange Proxy Settings...
- Enter the following information.
- Click OK three times then click Check Name

Enter username and password when prompted
- Click Next and Finish
- If the First things first window appears, click Ask me later and Accept
