  • \\files\software is for generally available or site-licensed software that is manually installed.

  • \\files\images is reserved for OIT-provided OS images and tools for setup of DeSC and FCP machines. This share is reserved for OIT Desktop Supoort and distributed departmental computing support staff.

  • \\files\src is reserved for Active Directory GPO deployed software and Office Packages. This share is mainly reserved for OIT Windows Systems and Software Support internal use, but also contains the source files for Microsoft Office 2003 and future Office packages.

  • \\files\licensed\ is for TripWire and Matlab
